Job Description – BIM Engineer (Civil) – Level 1

Department: BIM (Architecture & Structure)
Position: BIM Engineer – Civil L1
Reports to: BIM Lead (Architecture/Structure)

Role Objective:

To support the production and coordination of BIM models for architecture and structure disciplines using Revit and other BIM tools. Ensure accurate 3D modeling, documentation, clash-free outputs, and coordination with other design disciplines in line with project standards and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Revit Modeling & Documentation:
  Develop architectural and structural Revit models up to LOD 350, incorporating GFC drawings and construction detailing.
  Generate construction documents, BOQs, and as-built drawings.
  Assist in creating parametric families and templates as per company standards.
• Design Coordination & Clash Detection:
  Participate in multidisciplinary coordination and clash detection processes using Navisworks/other tools.
  Identify and communicate conflicts with MEP and structural elements and support resolution.
• Model Management:
  Follow proper model structuring, file naming conventions, and Revit/BIM execution plans.
  Maintain up-to-date models and documentation aligned with latest revisions.
• Collaborative Work:
  Work closely with architects, structural consultants, and internal teams to interpret and implement design intent.
  Participate in BIM coordination meetings and support clash resolution workflows.
• Quality & Compliance:
  Ensure models and drawings are compliant with project BIM standards.
  Support QA/QC processes by checking accuracy and completeness of deliverables.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
• Experience: 0–2 years in BIM environment (preferred).
• Software Skills:
  Proficient in Revit (Architecture & Structure).
  Familiar with AutoCAD, Navisworks, BIM 360.
  Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PDF markup tools.
• Additional Competencies:
  Understanding of construction drawings and detailing.
  Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural plans.
  Attention to detail, willingness to learn, and good communication skills.
